How long are you open, are you a residential park?
We are open from 1st March until 31st January, (closed only in February). We are licensed by Flintshire County Council to operate for holiday and recreational use only. Fir Trees can not be your main residence you can not live at the park. If this is your intention then you must seek out a residential park.
What are the charges and running costs?
All our stock caravans are priced to include delivery, siting and connection; there are no hidden extras. If you purchase from elsewhere then all these costs are extra. The yearly running costs are payable in two parts October & March as listed on the enclosed scale of charges. The charges are fully inclusive of local authority rates, gas testing; drain down & reconnection etc often billed as extras on other parks. Piped gas, water & electricity are metered and billed twice a year being read in August & January. Insurance must be arranged separately.
What caravans do you have for sale and what deposit do we need to secure the caravan?
We always have a good choice of new and sometimes used caravans available to view. We recommend all caravans now have double-glazing & central heating. £1,000 deposit will secure your caravan & site generally for 1 month. Deposits are non refundable
We already own a caravan or have seen one elsewhere, can we bring it on to Fir Trees?
Generally we would prefer to sell you a caravan from our own stock. However, for a limited period whilst we have some sites available we will site any recent caravan (up to 3 years old) subject to quotation. We also deal with Lloyds Caravan and Lodge Sales so we can supply any make or model, again subject to quotation.
Are there any park rules?
We enclose a copy of the site terms & conditions, which are comprehensive but basically common sense conditions to enable the park to be enjoyed by all.
What amenities does the park have?
The Park is a haven of peace and tranquillity, we do not have a shop or clubhouse, we do have a laundry room. We are very close to all the facilities and amenities of Chester, near the Airports and close to excellent roads that give quick access to North Wales, Manchester, Liverpool & the Lake District.
Who owns and manages the Park?
The Park is wholly owned by Mr & Mrs Adrian Townsend & Mr & Mrs Gareth Townsend It is a family company. Darren Battersby is responsible for the day to day running of the park. We are not owned by a large group, so when you call at the park you are talking directly to the decision makers.
Is there park security?
We have a park warden 24/7 with security gates and internal barriers Fir Trees is as secure as anywhere can be in this day and age. To date security has not been an issue and we are on site 7 days a week, with the office being open even during the close down period.
Can we sub-let our caravan?
We do not allow our owners to sub-let their caravans, however you are free to let your family and friends use your caravan at any time. Please advise the office.
